How To Stick To Your New Year Resolutions

It’s the start of 2017 which means plenty of new years resolutions to try to achieve and stick to. It’s the time of year where we can start a fresh beginning and turn over a new leaf. We have put together a few tips on how to ensure you do follow them through, as we know how hard it can be!

Define your goals – Clearly define what you would like the outcome of your resolution to be. If your goal is to eat healthier this year then in advance, create food plans to ensure you are fully prepared.

Track your progress – Each week or month measure your success and write it down in a journal. How successful have you been in making your positive change? If you’ve managed to achieve a certain goal, reward yourself, you deserve it.

Tell friends and family – Be sure to inform your friends and family of the changes you’re are planning to make. If you’re new years resolution is to give up smoking this year then shout about it! This will encourage your peers to motivate you and keep you focused on your new journey.

Dont feel disheartened – We all make mistakes. If you make one tiny slip up, definitely do not give up! Think of the progress you’ve made and embody this into picking yourself up and carrying on. It’s all about developing the right strategy that, with patience and time, will lead to success.
